AUC Scholarship 2023 Tomorrow Leaders Graduate Students Programme
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate (TLG) Student Program is a joint effort between the US Department of State, the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA/AC), and the AUC.
TLG equips academically qualified and financially sound students with the professional competence and experience necessary to advance knowledge and contribute to the achievement of socially relevant results through organized graduate study and research that advances the commercialization of emerging leaders and proposes local solutions to common problems in MENA.
AUC Master’s Degree Graduate Program
TLG offers students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) a unique opportunity to pursue higher education at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and earn a master’s degree in one of the following graduate programs:
- Master of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies in the Middle East/North Africa
- Master of Arts in International and Comparative Education (EDUL)
- Master of Arts (MRS) in Migration and Refugee Studies
- Master of Arts in Economics in International Development (ECID)
- Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication (JRMC)
- Master of Public Policy (MPP)
- Master of Public Administration (MPA)
- MA in Middle East Studies (MES)
AUC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
AUC Scholarships are offered to US students in various fields of study, especially, those who plan to study abroad. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and financial need.
The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees, on-campus accommodation and travel expenses. There are different types of AUC Scholarships, each with its own eligibility criteria.
The AUC Student Engagement Award is given to students who demonstrate engagement in the campus community.
Students are recognized for their efforts to support community outreach and personal growth. In addition, the Public-School Scholarship Fund (PSSF) was launched to provide scholarships to Egyptian undergraduates.
This program is designed to increase the number of academically outstanding students at AUC.
AUC offers a variety of scholarships from 20% to 100% of the tuition cost. However, there are additional requirements that need to be met. Each scholarship is renewable based on a student’s performance.
The AUC Program Combines Broad experience with depth of knowledge
AUC is a new higher education program from the University of Amsterdam and VU University Amsterdam.
While the name implies that this is an undergraduate degree-only institution, it is actually a well-rounded educational experience where students can expect to take courses in a variety of subjects ranging from the esoteric to the off the beaten path.
Upon completion of the programme, AUC graduates may choose to continue their studies in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the world. It is the only program of its kind in Europe.

The Orascom Construction-AUC Scholarship Program
The Orascom Construction-AUC Scholarship Program is available to high school graduates from public schools in the eight governorates of Upper Egypt. This award provides a 15 percent reduction in tuition. AUC’s graduate programs are designed to help students understand and analyze the economics of society, business, and government.
It also focuses on the development of a liberal arts education. AUC also has a Public-School Scholarship Fund (PSSF), which aims to support an Egyptian graduate student from a public school. In addition to providing financial aid, PSSF expands opportunities for Egyptian students. Applicants must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need.
Selected students will benefit from comprehensive student life services. To be eligible for the Orascom Construction-AUC Scholarship, a student must have an Economics major.
In addition, they must be from an Egyptian public school, have demonstrated financial need, and have excellent academic records. They must submit the application two years before the start of the academic year.
